I'm Ryno Hurn

I’m a registered pastoral counsellor with over a decade of full-time ministry experience, and my deepest calling is to walk alongside people in their most vulnerable moments.

My journey into counselling began with a heartfelt desire to see people encounter Jesus—not just in theory, but in the mess and mystery of real life. I’ve witnessed how powerful it is when someone finds a safe, Spirit-filled space to speak honestly and be met with grace.

My approach is gentle, compassionate, and grounded in truth. I hold to a Jesus-centered and Biblically informed framework, creating a space where your story is heard, your pain is acknowledged, and your hope can be restored.

I hold a B.Th. (2012) and M.Div. (2014) from the University of the Free State, and I continue to grow in applying both Scripture and trusted counselling practices in my sessions.

Grief Counselling

You don’t have to walk through loss alone. Loss—whether through death, divorce, miscarriage, or life’s changes—can shake our foundations.
This space offers you comfort, presence, and perspective as we grieve together in light of eternity. We’ll process your sorrow honestly while holding on to hope, healing, and the nearness of Christ.

Addiction counselling

Breaking shame, finding freedom. Struggling with pornography or sexual addiction can feel isolating—but there is hope. I offer a judgement-free space where you can bring your full story into the light. Together, we’ll explore the spiritual, emotional, and practical dimensions of addiction, with a focus on grace, accountability, and lasting transformation through Jesus.

Spiritual wilderness

Dry seasons, doubt, and disillusionment are a real part of the Christian walk. If you’re feeling spiritually numb, stuck, or like you’re losing faith, you are not alone.
